In this biting comedy satirizing Hollywood cynicism from writer-director Blake Edwards, Felix Farmer (Richard Mulligan) is a motion picture director whose career is on the skids. Having just completed a family musical that is sure to be a $30 million flop, Felix knows that his days are numbered and tries unsuccessfully to commit suicide. When he recovers, Felix suddenly has a brainstorm and hatches a scheme to buy the film back from his studio and lens new scenes that will turn it into a pornographic movie with big stars, a sure-fire box office winner. In order to pull it off, he'll need to convince his female lead and wife, Sally Miles (Julie Andrews, not coincidentally the director's real-life wife) to defy her wholesome, squeaky-clean public image by baring her breasts on film.

Linus and David Larrabee are the two sons of a very wealthy family. Linus is all work -- busily running the family corporate empire, he has no time for a wife and family. David is all play -- technically he is employed by the family business, but never shows up for work, spends all his time entertaining, and has been married and divorced three times.

Fashion photographer Dick Avery, in search for an intellectual backdrop for an air-headed model, expropriates a Greenwich Village bookstore. When the photo session is over the store is left in a shambles, much to salesgirl Jo Stockton's dismay. Avery stays behind to help her clean up. Later, he examines the photos taken there and sees Jo in the background of one shot. He is intrigued by her unique appearance, as is Maggie Prescott, the editor of a leading fashion magazine.

Philip, Lars et Jozef sont trois amis handicaps qui vivent en Belgique. Ils aiment le vin et rvent de faire l'amour une femme. Afin d'aller dans un bordel, le El Cielo - qui, croient-ils, accepte les gens comme eux - ils planifient un voyage en France et en Espagne. Mais l'tat de sant de Lars se dtriore rapidement, et ses parents refusent qu'il quitte la maison. Il devra donc fuguer, avec ses acolytes, afin de rejoindre El Cielo. Pour ce faire, ils engagent Claude, une infirmire obse et aigrie qui doit les conduire destination. Mais les imprvus sont nombreux et le voyage s'avre difficile pour les trois hommes...
